Model Railway Line ("We", "Us", "Our") are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy, in addition to our Terms & Conditions, sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Personal information we collect

When you subscribe to our mailing list you must provide us with your email address.

When you send us an enquiry using the contact form on the Site we collect your name, email address and the message you send us.

When you visit and interact with the Site (including any emails we send you) we may use cookies and other tracking technology to collect information about your online browsing behaviour and details of the devices you have used to access the Site. How we collect and use your personal information

We collect your email address when you subscribe to our mailing list. We use this to send you the Model Railway Line newsletter which may include details of news, articles, products and offers, with links to the relevant section on the Site. This will usually be sent to you a maximum of once per week, however on occasion we may send you a special edition when we have to inform you of something important regarding your use of the Site. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the emails.

Access to information

You have the right to access a copy of the information we hold about you. Such requests will usually be dealt with within one month, however this may be longer if your request is complicated or you have made a large number of requests. In such cases we will let you know that we need more than one month to respond to your request. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We will only hold your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy (unless a longer period is required or permitted by law), or until you request that it is deleted.

Generally, you can expect us to keep your personal information while you regularly open the Model Railway Line newsletter. If you do not open these emails for a reasonable length of time, we will automatically unsubscribe and remove your personal data from our systems.

You can choose to unsubscribe from the Model Railway Line newsletter at any time. An unsubscribe link is provided at the bottom of every newsletter we send out. Simply click this and you will be unsubscribed from the mailing list and your information will be removed from our systems.

If you have contacted us using the contact form on the Site, or by email, we will keep the information you send to us (including any subsequent correspondence between you and us) for a period of up to one year from the last piece of correspondence. This enables us to more easily act on any subsequent requests for support or assistance from you.
